CSA Program

What is CSA at A&L Farms?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for members of the community to buy seasonal locally grown fresh produce directly from the local farmers. Community members will see where some of the fresh produce they are eating is grown. A&L offers shares to members of the community for a period of time. The member share will consist of a box of seasonal locally grown fresh produce each week during the membership period. Amounts and types of produce will vary weekly (e.g., June will have less produce than August).

Advantages for Members.
  • The member would experience eating locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • The member will be able to talk to A&L Farms personnel about farming practices.
  • Exposure to fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Kids are likely to eat more fruits and vegetables if they see how and where they are grown.
  • Get to visit the farm and experience as fruits and vegetables are growing and ripening.
  • Take a wagon ride through the farm area where the fruits & vegetables are grown (August date will be announced later)
  • Receive recipes and/or cooking ideas.
